Boy’s Jewelry Boxes
When we think of what boys like, the first thing that comes to mind is sports, cars, trucks, and tools, but not jewelry. But jewelry boxes are popular today with men and boys alike. Men are into jewelry and fashion, giving women a run for their money. And boys and teens are following suit. We all like a little bling, bling don’t we?
Little boys always dream of being a pirate and having a treasure chest. They love the idea of having a place to store their treasures, even if they do not have jewelry yet. Maybe they empty their pockets from the day into their jewelry chest. Maybe its rocks, little army men, or gum, but it doesn’t matter because it is their own place to put in whatever they want. And boys, including men, are more sentimental than even women. They tend to keep anything that was given to them by somebody special. Often times it is a little shoe box that they carry around with them from their mother’s house to their college dorm, to their first apartment and then to their marriage home. But for some, they would love solid box that can protect their prizes possessions.
Boys and men today though are very fashion conscious. There are so many accessories for men and boys, ranging from chokers and bracelets, rings and necklaces. Whether it is costume jewelry or a real piece given to them for a special occasion or a beloved grandparent, anything goes when it comes to their jewelry box.
Boy’s jewelry boxes come in a variety of styles ranging from a cherry wood finish elegant box that they can take with them to college and when they get their own house and family or they can choose a box in their style today. Sports style boxes and fantasy style boxes or chests are popular items with boys today.
Unlike the delicate style of a little girl’s version, the boys version is tough and sturdy like them. But its hold just as many memories and is often a piece of childhood that is not forgotten. Typically a keepsake, that when opened in adulthood brings back a flood of memories of a more innocent time in their lives, boys love to put any of there secret treasures in it.
When choosing one for a boy, one should consider the taste and style of the boy and what the box will mean to him. Possessions from the past and memories all serve to represent childhood and all that it entails. A boy may never want to give it up and will pass it down to his little boys in the future for them to store their memories in. Men can be more sentimental than women. They love to hold onto their stuff. Boys have certain items from childhood that they carry with them, usually in a shoe box. If they have a chest, they can keep these memories safe, to live on with them forever and ever.
